Parish Updates:

Dear Parishioners of
Santa Ysabel Indian Mission-
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church,

As we stand at the dawn of 2026, we welcome a new year filled with the promise of God's grace. Our Holy Father has invited the global Church to reflect on the theme, "Peace be with you all: Towards an 'unarmed and disarming' peace". This call to peace is not just the absence of conflict, but a lifestyle rooted in love and justice that "dissolves conflicts" and "generates trust".

Following the Footsteps of Santa Ysabel
In this new year, we look to our patroness, Santa Ysabel Indian Mission St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, as our model for embodying peace. Just as she "scorned her bejeweled crown" for a life of humble service, we are called to lay aside our own defenses and "unarm" our hearts. Santa Ysabel reminds us that:

1. Service is Peace: By washing the feet of the humble and feeding the hungry, she brought Christ's peace to the marginalized.
2. Faith is Hope: Her unwavering "friendship with Christ" created a hope that allows us to see Christ in every person we meet.
Our Mission for 2026

Let us commit to making our parish a "Holy Year of Communion". May we:
1. Welcome the Stranger: Just as Santa Ysabel Indian Mission-St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, opened her castle to those in need, let us open our parish to all seeking peace.
2. Act with Compassion: Pray for a heart that "breaks for what breaks God's," especially for the unreached and hurting.
3. Walk with Obedience: Enter 2026 with a "new commitment to make God the foundation" of our lives.

As the "unspoiled page" of 2026 turns, may the grace and peace of Christ bless you and your families.

A New Year Prayer:
"Lord, enkindle the flame of your love in our hearts as You did for Santa Ysabel Indian Mission-St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Grant us the courage to choose faith over fear and to be catalysts for light in our community".

Happy New Year!
